The Courtyard

One of the first things we did in the fall of 2009 was clear the courtyard behind the building.  The building and the courtyard had been unused for many years, and therefore the courtyard was a jungle, completely overgrown with shrubs and weeds.  This is how it looked before we started.
   
A portion of the courtyard will be used for patio/garden seating for the coffee shop Café Sed.  Other possible uses include an area for children to play while their mothers (or fathers) drink coffee, a break area for the meat plant employees, and future building expansion.  This is how it looked after clearing and cleaning.
